I read Flight by Sherman Alexie, Knights of the Hill Country by Tim Tharp, and Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. These books were all decent, but if I had to pick favorite order, it would be Flight, Knights of the Hill Country, and then Huckleberry Finn. Flight kept me interested to entire book, and Knights of the Hill Country had some boring spots, but Huckleberry Finn was boring and hard to understand throughout bad mouthed the book.
For English 10b, I read Hatchet by Gary Pauslen, and A Child Called It. Hatchet was about a man named Brian who was flying to Canada to see his dad when his plane crashed. He had to survive off the wild for several months with some pocket lint and a hatchet. This book was very good and kept me interested and focused while I was reading the entire time. A Child Called It is about a child named Dave Pelzer who is abused brutally by his mother. She would physically and mentally torture him by starvation, poisoning, and straight up beating him. He is forced to live off of his own independence and willpower until he is rescued. This book was also very good, and I was interested to keep reading throughout the entire book.
